A provisional terminal holding structure (E) comprises: a winding terminal (6) having a plate-shaped winding-side spot welded part (6b); a terminal holding base (7) for holding the winding terminal (6); and a cable terminal (10) having a plate-shaped cable-side spot welded part (13), the cable terminal (10) being connected to an external cable (4). The cable terminal (10) is provisionally held on the terminal holding base (7) so that the winding-side spot welded part (6b) and the cable-side spot welded part (13) face each other, in order to weld the cable-side spot welded part (13) of the cable terminal (10) to the winding-side spot welded part (6b) of the winding terminal (6). The cable terminal (10) is provisionally held on the terminal holding base (7) in at least two locations on either side of the cable-side spot welded part (13).
