PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of reducing external light to be made incident to a reading unit.SOLUTION: A CIS (Contact Image Sensor) unit 211 for reading the image of a manuscript on a contact glass 205 is arranged between a housing 203 and the contact glass 205. The CIS unit 211 is held by a carriage 210. Projections 262 projected toward the CIS unit 211 are arranged on an upper surface 245 of a bottom plate 221 of the carriage 210. |
