PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal model for production of an HCV replication and/or a virus or a virus-like particle.SOLUTION: The present invention uses an HCV replicon present in a cell in order to deliver HCV nucleic acid in an animal model including an immune-unprotected animal and replicate and express HCV protein. The present invention also provides a method for treating or preventing HCV in a mammal, which comprises administering a combination of an immunoregulation compound and another antiviral agent to the mammal. In addition, there are also provided: a cell strain exhibiting reduction in sensitivity to any immunoregulation factor of interferon α or the like; and a method of making or isolating such a cell strain.
