TREATMENT METHOD OF DUST CONTAINED IN EXHAUST GAS OF FLASH FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively recover Bi from dust contained in exhaust gas of a flash furnace.SOLUTION: A dust treatment method includes steps of: pulping and leaching copper smelting dust containing at least Bi with water to generate water-leached pulp; separating the water-leached pulp into a liquid part and a solid part containing Bi and then pulping and leaching the solid part with an acid to generate acid-leached pulp containing Bi; separating the acid-leached pulp into a liquid part containing Bi and a solid part and then adding an alkali agent to the liquid part to generate Bi precipitate; dissolving the Bi precipitate with HCl to generate a Bi solution; and selectively recovering Bi from the Bi solution using a resin comprising a crown ether compound having selective adsorptivity.
