PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load driving device capable of appropriately detecting a disorder occurring on a path connecting a pulse drive circuit and a resistive load.SOLUTION: The load driving device 1 includes: a pulse drive circuit 14 having a capacitor C between an output end 20 and a ground potential GND; a level detection circuit R, 12I for detecting an output end voltage VD at the output end 20 of the pulse drive circuit 14 as either high level or low level; switch-over discharging means S141-S145 which are made up of a discharging route R, 12O for discharging an electric charge charged in the capacitor C by switching over a switch 12O from a non-discharging side to a discharging side, and switch over the switch 12O to the discharging side during a discharge maintenance time TD while a pulse voltage PS is prevented from being applied by the pulse drive circuit 14 and the output end voltage VD is maintained at a high level; means for detection after discharge S146-S147; and determination means S148-S14A. |
