PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump capable of suppressing the occurence of cracking in a flange wall due to expansion and contraction in executing a thermal shock test.SOLUTION: A water pump includes: a driving shaft 7 rotatably supported through a bearing 4 in the inside of a pump housing 2, a pulley 5 integrally connected to one end portion of the driving shaft through a flange wall 5a, and integrally molded with a synthetic resin material including a glass fiber, an impeller 8 disposed on the other end portion of the driving shaft, and a metallic insert 6 fixed to an inner periphery of a cylindrical portion 5b integrally disposed on an outer periphery of the flange wall, and into which the bearing is press-fitted so as to be held. A reinforcement rib 19 integrally molded on an outer face of the flange wall includes a projecting portion 19a projectedly formed into a hexagonal column shape at a central position in the radial direction, of the outer face of the flange wall, and six extended portions 19b extended radially outward from six corner portions 19c formed on the projecting portion, and radially extended so as to reach the same length as an outer diameter of the flange wall. |
