PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus suppressing the vibration of an intermediate transfer belt and preventing a straight streak caused by image shift from appearing on an image, even when the images are continuously formed, in a monochrome image forming apparatus including the intermediate transfer belt.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit 2A and an image forming unit 2B which write an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor 20 by an exposure device 22 and develop the electrostatic latent image by a developing device 23, to form a toner image having the same color. Further, the image forming apparatus includes a storage part 61 which stores an image area where the image shift occurs because an intermediate transfer belt 33 is vibrated due to shock caused by the conveyance of a paper P. The toner image is mainly formed by the image forming unit 2A. The toner image is formed by the other image forming unit 2B, in an area where the image shift occurs in the formation of the image by the image forming unit 2A. |
