In the present invention, a medical device has a power device, a temperature sensor for measuring temperature data, a converting means, and a predicted-time-computing means. The converting means references a table of temperature data obtained by the temperature sensor, the table having temperature data regarding the interior of a case for covering the power device and/or temperature data regarding a wire mounted on the power device correlated with actual temperature data, whereby the converting means obtains the temperature data for the case interior and/or the wire. The predicted-time-computing means computes, on the basis of the resulting temperature data, the predicted time to failure of the power device. |
