Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for transmitting information to an entity (e.g., a merchant) upon associating a gift card with an account. An exemplary apparatus is configured to: receive information associated with a gift card, the gift card associated with a merchant; associate the gift card with an account; and transmit information to an entity, the information being associated with at least one of the gift card, the account, or a user associated with the account. |
