PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert a long drain pipe into natural ground using a general-purpose tunneling machine with drilling function which is always used at a tunneling site without using a dedicated drilling machine. SOLUTION: This drain pipe 30 includes a steel pipe 40 divided into a plurality of parts, an excavating bit 50 detachably fitted to the front end thereof, and a rotating rod 60 which is inserted into the steel pipe 40 and which imparts a rotational excavating force to the excavating bit 50. The steel pipe 40 includes a steel pipe body part 41 and a strainer steel pipe part 42. The strainer steel pipe part 42 comprises a plurality of drain holes with a predetermined diameter according to the soil quality of natural ground 20.
