PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure which can realize resistance to vibrations and shocks applied from the outside. SOLUTION: The foundation structure supporting a building A comprises: a concrete support body 10; a steel material foundation 2 provided on the support body 10; and an exterior heat insulation material 40 in the form of flat plate-like provided vertically at the outside surface of the steel material foundation 2 in the state of being separated therefrom. The exterior heat insulation material 40 is supported by the steel material foundation 2 through an auxiliary member 43 which is fixed to the exterior heat insulation material 40 and only abuts on the steel material foundation 2.
