The backlight unit of a display unit includes a power convertor which includes a first wire which is connected to an input power voltage and a second wire which is connected to an output terminal and generates an LED driving voltage, generates an LED driving voltage responding to a mode signal and a switching control signal, and a light emitting diode string which is connected to the output terminal. The power convertor serially connects a boosting wire to the second wire when the mode signal represents a three-dimensional image display mode, and outputs the boosted LED driving voltage to the output terminal through the boosting wire.
