The present invention relates to a compact slot antenna which is formed on a multi-layered substrate including a first conductive layer, a first dielectric layer, a second conductive layer, a second dielectric layer, and a third conductive layer in order. The compact slot antenna comprises a first slot line (30), and second and third slot lines (31, 32). The first slot line is formed inside the second conductive layer. The first slot line is connected to a supplying unit (A) of the antenna. The second and third slot lines are formed inside the first and third conductive layers. A first end portion, a supplying side, of each of the second and third slot lines (31, 32) is mutually connected by a via which passes through a window formed on the second conductive layer. A second end portion is limited by two conductive strips which are connected to the second conductive layer. The entire conductive strips exist in an opening circuit or a short circuit at the second end portion side. The electrical length of the first, second, and third slot lines is a function of a wavelength in an operating frequency of the antenna. |
