The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for controlling a variable steering force of an electric steering device which a driver can easily steer by lowering a steering force of the driver as the assist torque of an MDPS is increased by applying separate additional logic to the basic logic of MDPS power steering. To achieve the above purpose, the method for controlling the variable steering force of the electric steering device according to the present invention includes a step for determining whether a vehicle is stopped or not by measuring a vehicle speed in the middle of driving the vehicle by interlocking the vehicle speed with a transmission; a step of determining whether a shifting gear is in a D stage or not when the vehicle is not stopped; and a step of determining that the vehicle is driving if the shifting gear is in the D stage and applying normal driving logic and determining that the vehicle is parked if the shifting gear is not in the D stage and increasing the assist torque of the motor by applying parking mode logic. The present invention is characterized by enabling the reduction of the steering force when the vehicle is stopped. |
