PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of improving an image by making ink drops impacted on media uniform in dot size.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device 10 including a placement part 48 on which media are placed, a carriage 24 capable of moving to the media placed on the placement part 48, a recording head 22 which is mounted on the carriage 24 and ejects UV ink to the media, and an ultraviolet irradiation device 27 which is mounted on the carriage 24 and configured to cure the UV ink impacted on the media includes temperature measurement means 60 capable of measuring the temperature of the media or the temperature of the placement part 48, and temperature control means 66 of controlling the temperature of the media or the temperature of the placement part 48 to a temperature within a predetermined range through the temperature measurement means 60. |
