PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device free from making marking errors, in which a broken stylus is compensated with another unbroken stylus.SOLUTION: In the invention, the marking device comprises a vibration pen device in which four or more air pens are aligned in a line. A marking object is struck with styluses of the air pens so that information is marked thereon. The device comprises: an error detector for detecting errors in information marked on the marking object or marking errors due to operation failure in the air pens; and a controlling device switching a plurality of actions of the air pens based on the information for the marking error acquired from the error detector. The marking device has a function that, in a case where marking error due to any one of the air pens among the plurality of air pens is detected, the broken air pen is memorized as a broken air pen and execution of marking is shifted from the broken air pen to any one of the normal air pens so that information planned to be marked by the broken air pen is marked by any one of the normal air pens on the marking object. |
