PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device that restrains a temperature rise caused by heat generation when LEDs emit light, and in which safety is taken into consideration.SOLUTION: A lighting device comprises: a main body; a light source attached to the main body; and a translucent cover that can be attached to and detached from the main body and diffuses light emitted by the light source. The main body comprises: a bottom part; a side surface rising from the bottom part; and a protruding surface surrounded by the side surface. The light source comprises: LEDs; and an LED mounting board to which the LEDs are attached. The LED mounting board is attached to the protruding surface of the main body via a heat transfer plate, and the area of the heat transfer plate is equal to or smaller than the area of the protruding surface of the main body and is equal to or larger than the area of the LED mounting board. |
