PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic/inorganic compound gel having improved surface slipperiness. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution containing a water-soluble radically polymerizable organic monomer and a finely-dispersed water-swelling clay mineral is poured into a vessel having at least a part of the surface of its base material composed of a material of high oxygen permeability or is brought into contact with a gas having an oxygen concentration of 10 ppm or higher. The water-soluble radically polymerizable organic monomer is thus polymerized to prepare the organic/inorganic compound gel. The organic/inorganic compound gel is stretched at a draw ratio of 1.5-15 times that does not cause gel fracture, to form a linear repetitious concavo-convex part of a micrometer level on the gel surface.
