PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which uses a high-potential negative electrode and exhibits particularly good battery performance and high overcharge preventing properties, and to provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution used for the same.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The negative electrode contains as its active material a material showing an electrode potential (relative to Li/Li) of 1.0 V or higher. The nonaqueous electrolytic solution contains an electrolyte and a specific azole compound in an organic solvent. |
