PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability, long-life luminous color conversion member, etc., which, even when a phosphor such as a sulfide phosphor liable to degrade upon contact with moisture or when encapsulated in glass, exhibits excellent luminous characteristic with few degradation of the phosphor observed, and which, even when a high-output blue light-emitting diode is used as an excitation light source, does not change in color tone over a long period of use.SOLUTION: A luminous color conversion member 3 having an inorganic phosphor particle 1 encapsulated in a sintered glass 2 is fabricated as shown below. First, inorganic phosphor powder excited by light from a light source to emit fluorescence in separate wavelength and glass powder are evenly mixed to prepare mixed powder 4 not containing a resin binder. Next, the mixed powder 4 is filled in a molding tool 20, and air in the mixed powder 4 is discharged. Thereafter, the mixed powder 4 is sintered using a hot press sintering method, etc. by heating it in a reducing atmosphere while applying pressure thereto. |
