<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in temperature at ends of rollers during continuous paper feed, while suppressing a decrease in temperature at the ends at the start of the paper feed.SOLUTION: A fixing device heats a recording sheet passing between two rollers in contact with each other to fix a toner image on the recording sheet, and includes: a first heater 55a that heats the heating roller 51 such that the heating amount at the ends of the roller is larger than that of the center part in a distribution of the heating amount in an axial direction of the roller; and a second heater 55b that has the maximum value of the total heating amount smaller than that of the first heater 55a, and heats the heating roller 51 such that the heating amount at the ends of the roller is larger than that of the center part in a distribution of the heating amount in the axial direction of the roller. The second heater 55b heats the ends of the heating roller 51 with the larger heating amount than the center part by a higher rate than the first heater 55a does.</p> |
