<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio amplifier including a heat protection device causing little degradation of sound quality or sense of discomfort.SOLUTION: The audio amplifier includes: an amplifier 140; a temperature detector 120 that detects the temperature of the amplifier 140 and issues a notification when the temperature exceeds a predetermined value; a controller 110 that, receiving a notification signal from the temperature detector 120, counts the interval of the notification and calculates a volume value; and an audio signal processing circuit 130 that attenuates an audio input signal on the basis of the volume value calculated by the controller 110. Receiving the notification from the temperature detector 120 that the temperature of the amplifier 140 exceeds the predetermined value, the controller 110 calculates the volume value on the basis of the present volume value and the time of the counted intervals of the notification.</p> |
