PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for manufacturing a thermoelectric module having a high degree of freedom in shape at low cost.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a thermoelectric element comprises the steps of: creating a first wax model 10 in a state in which a first thermoelectric element is arranged in a prescribed pattern; molding a first mold from the first wax model 10 (first molding step); obtaining a first thermoelectric element group by solidifying a first thermoelectric material by teeming a molten metal of the first thermoelectric material into the first mold (first casting step); creating a second wax model 20 reproducing an array of a second thermoelectric element for forming a thermoelectric module by connecting the second thermoelectric element to the first thermoelectric element; molding a second mold from the second wax model 20 (second molding step); obtaining a second thermoelectric element group by solidifying a second thermoelectric material by teeming a molten metal of the second thermoelectric material into the second mold (second casting step); and electrically bonding the first thermoelectric element group and the second thermoelectric element group in series (bonding step).
