<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a steering column support device for an electric power steering device with a tilt mechanism by which support rigidity of a swing bracket 28 by a tilt pivot shaft 15a can be sufficiently secured, and resistance when a tilt operation is performed is suppressed as low at a state that durability of a side plate part 32c constituting a pair of bushes 30c is sufficiently secured.SOLUTION: Parts sandwiching a cylindrical part 31 constituting bushes 30c of an outer peripheral surface of a tilt pivot shaft 15 and an inner peripheral surface of an insertion hole 29 are considered as cylindrical surfaces, respectively. In addition, a main contact surface part 36 which contacts an inside surface of a support plate part 23 at a neutral state which is a state that assist reaction force is not generated, and a sub-contact surface part 37 which does not contact the support plate part 23 at the neutral state and contacts the inside surface of the support plate part 23 only when the assist reaction force is generated and the sub-contact surface part 37 elastically deforms are provided as thickness reduction parts on an outside surface of a side plate part 32c constituting the buses 30c.</p> |
