<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact air motor which is simple in structure and does not require electricity.SOLUTION: An air motor 100 has: a piston 6 freely slidably placed in a cylinder 16; a rod 2 joined to the piston 6; a rotary output shaft 22 placed on a concentric axis to the shaft of the rod 2; a cylindrical outer ring member 21 which is formed in an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the rotary output shaft 22, is placed through the rotary output shaft 22, and is provided with a diagonal groove 21d formed in a diagonal direction with respect to a linear reciprocal movement direction of the piston 6; an engagement part 8 which is joined to the piston 6 or the rod 2 and is engaged with the diagonal groove 21d; and a one-way clutch 23 intervened between the outer ring member 21 and the rotary output shaft 22. By supplying/discharging drive air in/from the cylinder 16, the engagement part 8 performs linear reciprocal movements along the rod 2 to rotary-drive the outer ring member 21 engaged with the engagement part 8 and rotary-drive the rotary output shaft 22 via a clutch 23.</p> |
