<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid local temperature disturbance and heat loss in a float bath and flocculation adhesion of vapor of tin and dropping of adhered matter, due to the presence of top rolls, while retaining a function to prevent adhesion to a glass ribbon by the top rolls. <P>SOLUTION: In a glass plate manufacturing apparatus 1 in which, when molten glass 4 is floated on molten tin 2 stored in a float bath 3 and a glass ribbon 6 is formed, the glass ribbon 6 is pulled outward from both sides in the width direction by using top rolls 7 disposed respectively near both side edge parts 6a of the glass ribbon 6, the outer surfaces of a roller part 7a and a rotating shaft part 7b in each of the top rolls 7 are coated with zirconia. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
