PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a person staying under a ceiling material, by preventing a fall and scattering of the ceiling material supported by a suspension material suspended from a skeleton of an upper part onto a floor by an earthquake or the like.SOLUTION: A fall prevention device 8 is constituted of: an expandable reinforcement material 6 arranged in a state of being capable of contacting directly or indirectly with an under surface of a ceiling material 3 supported by a suspension material 2 suspended from a skeleton 1 of the upper part and installed between side surfaces 5 and 5 opposed in at least one direction among a peripheral skeleton 4 positioned around the skeleton 1 of the upper part; and a fixation member 7 for fixing both end parts in the length direction of the reinforcement material 6 to the peripheral skeleton 4.
