PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device capable of detecting the inclination of a sheet and the open state of a cover member by using two detectors, and to provide an image reader and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A first detector 28 outputs an ON signal when a document P does not exist at a first detection position D1, outputs an OFF signal when the document P exists at the first detection position D1, and outputs the ON signal depending on the open state of a cover member. A second detector 29 outputs the OFF signal when the document P does not exist at a second detection position D2 separated from the first detection position D1 in a width direction R2 perpendicular to a conveyance direction R1 of the document P, outputs the ON signal when the document P exists at the second detection position D2, and outputs the ON signal depending on the open state of the cover member. On the basis of the combination of the ON signal and the OFF signal output from the first detector 28 and the second detector 29, inclination of the document P and open state of the cover member are detected. |
