The present invention relates to an automatic fire extinguishing system for an engine capable of extinguishing a fire generated in a cylinder block of a main engine. The automatic fire extinguishing system for an engine includes an automatic fire extinguishing agent injecting means installed in a fire extinguishing device to extinguish a fire in multiple cylinder blocks. The automatic fire extinguishing agent injecting means comprises: a main supply pipe which is connected with a fire extinguishing agent supply unit to supply fire extinguishing agents; multiple distributing pipes which are installed in parallel to distribute the fire extinguishing agents to the cylinder blocks; a passage control unit which connects the main supply pipe with the distributing pipes and distributes the fire extinguishing agents to each cylinder block; and a controller which senses a fire signal of the engine to control the passage control unit. The automatic fire extinguishing system for an engine can quickly and efficiently extinguish a fire by selectively or simultaneously injecting the fire extinguishing agent into the cylinder blocks according to the fire signal of the engine.
