PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus in which an operation part can be detached from a body part and the operation part can be used even independently, and in which complicated work is not needed, and the operation part can be used not only in an independent form, but also in a form in which the operation part is connected with the body part.SOLUTION: An endoscope apparatus 1 includes: a body part 13 having a light source part 76 for emitting illumination light for illuminating a subject; an insertion part 11 into which a light guide 34 for guiding the light of the light source part 76 is inserted, to whose leading end 11a a plurality of adapters 15 can be attached, and which can emit the light of an LED 62A from the leading end 11a; an operation part 12 which can be connected to the body part 13, and has an adapter detection part for detecting the kind of the adapter 15 attached to the leading end 11a; and a CPU 47 for controlling the light source part 76 and the LED 62A according to the detected kind of the adapter 15. |
