PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorption inhibitor which can deeply penetrate into the surface of a porous material, can impart water absorption resistance without impairing appearance and causes no fluid dripping when applied.SOLUTION: There is provided a gel-like composition which comprises: (A) 100 pts.mass of an organoalkoxysilane represented by the formula (1) and/or a partially hydrolyzed condensate of the organoalkoxysilane, RSi(OR)(1) (where Ris each independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; Ris each independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; a is 1, 2 or 3); (B) 0.3 to 20 pts.mass of an aluminum di-carboxylate represented by the formula (2), (RCOO)Al(OH) (2) (where Ris each independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 25 carbon atoms); and (C) 0.3 to 20 pts.mass of a fatty acid having 6 to 24 carbon atoms. |
