<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting coil unit and a superconducting apparatus by which the degradation of characteristics can be prevented by reducing a vertical magnetic field strength.SOLUTION: A coil part has superconducting coils (double pancake coils 62a-62d and double pancake coils forming a central portion coil 51) each including a superconducting wire which are laminated in an axial direction. The packing rate of the double pancake coils is defined by n/(r/t)×100(%), where r(mm) represents the thickness of the double pancake coils in a radial direction thereof; t(mm) represents the thickness of the superconducting wires; and n represents the number of turns of superconducting wires in the double pancake coils. The packing rate of the first superconducting coils (the double pancake coils 62a-62d forming an end portion coil 62) located at an end in an axial direction, which is an extending direction of the central axis 80, is smaller than the packing rate of the second superconducting coils (the double pancake coils forming the central portion coil 51) located in a central portion in the axial direction.</p> |
