PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device that does not cause a trouble at initial filling even when a remaining amount of ink calculated on the basis of an amount of ink consumption stored in a storage element is different from an actual remaining amount of ink of an ink cartridge.SOLUTION: A printing device has: a detector 90 for detecting a state of a remaining amount of ink in an ink cartridge 100; and a control unit 40 for controlling execution of initial filling to a printing head 35. The control unit 40 executes the initial filling when a remaining amount of ink detected by the detector 90 is equal to or greater than a predetermined amount and a remaining amount of ink based on information about an amount of ink stored in a storage is equal to or greater than a predetermined value. |
