PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the combustion efficiency in the combustion chamber in the combustion chamber structure of an engine having a cavity concavedly arranged by offsetting relative to the axial center of the cylinder in the top face of a piston. SOLUTION: The engine combustion chamber structure has the cylinder 10, the injection nozzle 11, the piston 12 housed in the cylinder 10, the cavity 13 concavedly arranged by offsetting relative to the axial center of the cylinder 10 on the top face of the piston 12, the projecting part 14 arranged in the wall face of the cavity 13 and projecting inward in the radial direction of the cavity 13, and the inclined part 15 inclining from the top surface of the piston 12 toward the top part of the projecting part 14, the inclining angle of the reversed offset side is set smaller than the inclining angle of the offset side in the inclining part 15.
