<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an economic effect of a cutting tool using a cutting insert in which a blank is arranged at the corner part of a base metal.SOLUTION: A cutting tool comprises: a tool body; a cutting insert; and a clamp member fixing the cutting insert to the tool body. The cutting insert consists of: a blank in which a cutting edge is formed; and a base metal which supports the blank. A first step part is formed on the bottom surface of the blank and a second step part is formed on the top surface of the base metal. Force component at the pressed part of the blank is generated by the clamp member, thereby pushing the first step part to the second step part.</p> |
