PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate policy control for communication of various types of private terminals that communicate with a network via a communication terminal.SOLUTION: In an example, a communication system includes: a communication terminal that connects with a private terminal and transfers data between the private terminal and a connection destination network; and a policy control system that is situated between the communication terminal and the connection destination network, establishes, with the communication terminal, a connection for data communication of the private terminal, and controls the communication policy of the connection. The communication terminal sends the policy control system type information indicating the type of private terminal during connection and using the connection and a policy update request. When the policy control system receives the policy update request, it refers to communication policy management information and determines the updated communication policy applied to the connection on the basis of the type information. |
