PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, an image processing method, a program, and the like, with which G components of a corrected special light image and a normal light image are synthesized with each other and B components of the images are synthesized with each other, thereby improving visibility of a subject, such as a blood vessel, as compared with a case where a special light image is pseudo-colored and is synthesized.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: a normal light image acquisition unit 320 for acquiring a normal light image including a subject image having information in a wavelength band of white light; a special light image acquisition unit 330 for acquiring a special light image including a subject image having information in a specific wavelength band; a correction unit 341 for performing correction processing on the special light image; and a synthesizing unit 342 for performing synthesizing processing on the normal light image and a post-correction special light image that is the special light image after the correction. As the synthesizing processing, the synthesizing unit 342 performs processing where G components of the normal light image and the post-correction special light image are synthesized with each other and B components of the normal light image and the post-correction special light image are synthesized with each other. |
