The present invention relates to a switch control device, a power supply device including the same, and a method for driving the power supply device. An AC input of the power supply device is connected to a rectifier circuit. The power supply device comprises: a power switch in which an input current passing through the rectifier circuit during an on-period flows; and a switch control device which detects a half-on period which is an intermediate time point of the on-period, calculates the input current by using the on-period and a result of sampling at the half-on period a sensing voltage according to a current flowing in the power switch during the on-period, and controls the input current to follow a predetermined reference waveform.
