<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule for an optical connector that enables the reliability of an optical fiber to be ensured by restraining the bending or disconnection of the optical fiber while suppressing an increase in a manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: An optical connector ferrule 10 is constituted such that there are included a cylindrical capillary 20 and a flange part 30 which is integrally formed on the end part of the capillary 20, and attached to the terminal of a coated optical fiber W which is formed such that the surface of an optical fiber W1 is coated by a resin. In the optical connector ferrule 10, an optical fiber insertion hole 21 into which the optical fiber W1 can be inserted in the longitudinal direction, a guide hole 22 for guiding the optical fiber W1 into the optical fiber insertion hole 21, an adhesive retaining hole into which an adhesive is injected for retention, and a positioning hole 35 which is formed coaxially with the axis of the optical fiber insertion hole 21 and directs the optical fiber W1 to a slide contact surface are disposed side by side in this order.
