<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string striking mechanism exhibiting performance of a grand piano such as improvement in repetitive striking property and making fast touches such as tremolo or trill with an upright piano and expressing rich expressiveness.SOLUTION: A hammer H for an upright piano provided with a hammer head H2 and a hammer shank H1, a shank roller H3 is provided on a bottom unit of the hammer shank H1 and a hammer head H2 is provided on a top unit. Furthermore, in the hammer H for the upright piano, a catcher shank H4 is provided planted perpendicularly to the hammer shank H1 and a catcher H5 is provided on a front unit of the catcher shank H4. The string striking mechanism of the grand piano can be loaded on the upright piano by only adding a slight change to the string striking mechanism of the grand piano by devising a method for giving rotation to the hammer shank H1.</p> |
