PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition having an effect on many kinds of inflammations such as mucositis, stomatitis, lichen planus, periodontitis, aphthous ulcer, orodental pain and/or orofacial pain.SOLUTION: Provided is a pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of inflammatory pains and diseases in a mucosa of an oral cavity, a pharynx and/or a larynx comprising an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. And also provided are a mucosal bioadhesive slow release carriers for the extended and controlled release of the alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, and a mucosal bioadhesive slow release carriers used on mucosal surfaces for preventing or treating inflammatory pains and diseases of mucosa of an oral cavity. |
