The present invention relates to amino silicone nanoemulsions. More specifically, the present invention relates to amino silicone nanoemulsions that may be used to protect surfaces from being soiled or wetted.

1. An amino silicone nanoemulsion comprising:
a. one or more liquid amino silicone compounds represented by formula (1) below: where each R is an alkyl group or a phenyl group with 1-10 carbon atoms, wherein each R′ is an alkyl group having 1-10 carbon atoms, a phenyl group, a monovalent group represented by formula (2) below, or a monovalent group represented by the formula: —OR3, where R3 is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group with 1-10 carbon atoms;m is a whole number from 50-1000,n is a whole number from 1-100,A is a monovalent group represented by formula (2) below:
—R1—(NH—R2)a-NH2  (2)where R1 and R2 are divalent hydrocarbon groups with 1-10 carbon atoms; a is a whole number from 0-4; b. a cationic surfactant having an HLB of from about 18 to about 25; and c. a solvent.
