PURPOSE:To efficiently stir a coating soln. and to improve the quality of coating by supporting a stirring device by means of a slide base which moves back and forth along the top surface of a liquid tank. CONSTITUTION:The slide base 6 is moved back and forth between prescribed positions P1 and P2 together with the stirring device U along the top surface of the liquid tank 1 while a pair of the stirrers of the stirring device U are rotated. The stirrers 12 stir the coating liquid existing in the space passing therethrough. The coating soln. in the central part of the tank 1 is stirred by a scraper 11. Since the liquid is effectively stirred over a wide range in the liquid tank by such device, the uniformity of the coating soln. is assured and the uniformity of the coating quality of cores is obtd.
