PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monomer capable of forming a polymer becoming an electron-donating organic semiconductor which can be well mixed with an electron-accepting material such as a fullerene derivative and can form a good morphology.SOLUTION: A heteroaromatic compound represented by the following formula (1) is provided. A polymer obtained by polymerization of the heteroaromatic compound can be used, for example, for a photoelectric conversion layer of a photoelectric conversion element or the like and can form a good morphology with an electron-accepting material.
