<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic electric compressor including a piston tip end portion processed into a curved shape, capable of reducing a dead volume of the hermetic electric compressor and ensuring high efficiency while keeping high reliability.SOLUTION: A curved portion is provided on a piston tip end 127a and a convex portion 121b is provided on an inner wall of a compression chamber 121 in a portion corresponding to the curved portion of the piston tip end 127a. Therefore, the curved portion of the piston tip end 127a can reduce a local surface pressure generated by point contact with the inner wall of the compression chamber 121 and improve reliability. Furthermore, the convex portion 121b provided on the inner wall of the compression chamber 121 can narrow a gap between the piston tip end 127a and the inner wall of the compression chamber 121 when a piston 127 is located at a top dead center, reduce a dead volume, and reduce re-expansion loss, thereby making it possible to improve efficiency of a hermetic electric compressor.</p> |
