PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample suction device capable of detecting whether or not the suction of a sample is appropriately performed, in a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A sample suction device comprises: sample container disposing means capable of disposing a sample container containing a sample so that the opening of the sample container protrudes; sample suction means having a nozzle for suctioning the sample contained in the sample container, and a contact part which is fixed to the base of the nozzle and can contact with the opening of the sample container; and moving means which can move the sample container disposing means and/or the sample suction means in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction. The sample suction device also comprises: a contact sensor capable of detecting the contact of the nozzle and the contact part with the sample container disposing means or the sample container; and determination means for processing, as inputs, the detection by the contact sensor, and information on a movement distance in the vertical direction, a movement period or height of the nozzle or the sample container disposing means, and for processing, as an output, the contact state of the nozzle and the contact part with the sample container disposing means or the sample container. |
