PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat dissipating member that allows a wide light distribution angle to be achieved by an illuminating device when the illuminating device is used.SOLUTION: A metal case 200 (an example of a heat dissipating member) comprises a light source fitting part 210, fins 230, and a main body part 240. The light source fitting part 210 is provided on a side of an upper surface of the main body part 240. An LED board is attached to the light source fitting part 210. An annular fitting groove 220 to which a globe is attached is formed around the light source fitting part 210. The plurality of fins 230 are erected from a side surface of the metal case 200. The fins 230 comprises curved surfaces 231 and continuous surfaces 232 from the side of the upper surface of the main body part 240 toward a side of a lower surface of the main body part 240. The curved surfaces 231 are convexly curved on an outside of the main body part 240. The continuous surfaces 232 are continuous with the curved surfaces 231, and are lower than crests X of the curved surfaces 231.
