<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a pressure swing adsorption apparatus and the pressure swing adsorption apparatus which, when the concentration of a product gas required is relatively low, can significantly increase the amount of the product gas obtained.SOLUTION: In a method for using a pressure swing adsorption apparatus and the pressure swing adsorption apparatus, a product gas is produced by repeatedly performing: an adsorption step of introducing a raw material gas into an adsorption tank 1, allowing an adsorption gas to be adsorbed, and storing the product gas in a product tank 2; a recovery step of recovering a recovery gas remaining in the adsorption tank 1 into a recovery tank 3; a desorption step of allowing the adsorption gas to be desorbed and discharged from the adsorption tank 1; and a pressure-increasing step of increasing pressure in the adsorption tank 1. There is provided recovery gas supply piping 10 for supplying, from the recovery tank 3, the recovery gas in the tank to the outside. After a first pressure-increasing step is performed by supplying the recovery gas in the recovery tank 3 to the adsorption tank 1 to increase the pressure in the adsorption tank 1, a second pressure-increasing step is performed by supplying the product gas in the product tank 2 to the adsorption tank 1 to further increase the pressure in the adsorption tank 1, and then the adsorption step is performed.</p> |
