PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of luminous efficiency of a phosphor owing to an oxidization, and to improve the luminous flux of a nonlinear triplewave type fluorescent lamp, by introducing a reducing gas as the gas in the bulb, in the tube bending process. CONSTITUTION:When a nonlinear fluorescent lamp has a bulb heating and transformation process after the fluorescent membrane is formed, and the fluorescent membrane consists of a phosphor including an element of a lower atomic value than the stable atomic value, the inside of the bulb is made in a reducing atmosphere in the heating and transforming process in its manufacture. Therefore, as well as the oxidization of the phosphor including the element of the atomic value lower than the stable atomic value is prevented during the tube bending process, the oxidization of the phosphor in the baking process of the phosphor paint binder combustion is restored, and the luminous efficiency is prevented from the deterioration. Consequently, the luminous flux of the nonlinear fluorescent lamp applying such a phosphor can be improved.
