PURPOSE:To exactly execute a shutter release operation even by a magnet of a small size and a small attractive force, by reducing a spring energizing force applied to an armature lever. CONSTITUTION:When a release button is pushed, a function of a distance measuring device 40 operates in the first stage of a stroke and a distance to an object to be photographed is detected, replaced with the number of electric pulse signals and stored. When an electric conduction to a magnet 11 is executed by the second stage of the subsequent stroke, an AF lock claw 12 tries to rotate clockwise by its attracting action, but in such a case, the AF lock claw 12 can be rotated easily by a small attracting force since a load of a torsion spring 17 is eliminated by withdrawing of a shutter release lever 16, and also, a pressing force of an AF set plate 19 to an engaging part 12e is also reduced. Accordingly, even by the magnet 11 small in size and small in power consumption, its function can be executed enough.
